In case you don’t know, Toastmasters is an international non-profit organization founded over 100 years ago. There are Toastmasters clubs almost everywhere in the world teaching their members public speaking and leadership skills.
I go to the Shanghai Leadership Toastmasters Club, one of the best Toastmasters clubs here. Toastmasters clubs are very popular in Shanghai, with over 100 active clubs in the city! Most of the clubs hold their meetings in English, which attracts many Chinese guests that want to practice and improve their English. There are also Chinese-language clubs, bilingual clubs, as well as clubs using other languages.

And, of course, don’t hesitate to join a meeting on Wednesday night, especially if you are near the Jing’an district.
